Tuorhoth returns with the latest on Hobbit 3, Justice League, Avengers 2, Star Trek 3, Spider-Man, Jungle Book and more!

We’re sad to say that we’ve been away on a week of huge movie news, which we’re now dubbing MEGA-NEWS. We’ve got the scoop on pretty much every major movie coming our way in the next couple of years, and beyond, besides an official casting for Star Wars: Episode VII but we’re not completely in the dark with Star Trek Into Darkness’ JJ Abrams’ sequel to the world’s biggest movie franchise.

There’s a huge amount of spin offs to Star Wars in various medias. TV shows like Clone Wars and (now) Rebels, video games such as Battlefront, Knights of the Old Republic and the hugely successful Force Unleashed saga and numerous comic books and graphic novels have revived the series through some difficult times. However, some the most renowned SW side stories are from the novels such as Timothy Zahn’s work (above) and Darth Plagueis. Some of these books are light fan-fiction but most of it is genuine, George Lucas-approved canon to the main films. Despite this, we now know that the storytelling works of Abrams, Lawrence Kasdan (Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi) and Michael Arndt (Toy Story 3) are not to take off from the novels.

Producer and writer Simon Kinberg informs us that “For the movies, the canon is the canon, and the canon is the six films that exist. It’s all about honouring the movies and telling a new story.” We still don’t know of a single cast member or title but that’s set to change as, all going well, filming finally begins this May. Star Wars: Episode VII – December 18th 2015

The life of technological visionary Steve Jobs has once, unsuccessfully, been told on screen with Ashton Kutcher in the lead role. Sony’s alternative to this has been in their minds for a long time and it seemed quite promising when it appeared that David Fincher (Fight Club, Zodiac, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Seven, The Social Network) was to direct with Christian Bale (The Dark Knight, American Hustle, The Prestige) starring.

It’s now apparent that Sony are negotiating with Danny Boyle for the directing job. Boyle, the British writer and director behind Trainspotting, 127 Hours, 28 Days Later, Sunshine, Trance, Shallow Grave and Slumdog Millionaire as well as the 2012 Olympics Opening Ceremony, is the second highly esteemed director Sony have approached after Fincher but the most exciting reveal of all of this is that Boyle may be reuniting with his star of The Beach, and five time Oscar nominee, Leonardo Di Caprio (The Wolf of Wall Street, Titanic, Inception, Django Unchained, The Departed) for the film.

Ray Fisher has only one on-screen acting role so far, 2008 short film The Good The Bad and The Confused, and yet he’s swiftly becoming one of the most talked about young stars in Hollywood. He came into competition for the male lead in Star Wars, which he may be unlikely to get, but has just landed the biggest role in his career: he’s been cast as DC comics hero Cyborg in Zack Snyder’s (300, Watchmen, Dawn of the Dead) Man of Steel sequel Batman vs Superman. Despite that unconfirmed title, it seems as if this’ll much more of a Justice League themed adventure than we’d thought at the 2013 Comic-Con announcement. Fisher joins Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Diane Lane, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter, Callan Mulvey, Gal Gadot, Tao Okamoto and Laurence Fishburne in the cast. Batman vs Superman – May 6th 2016

Disney and Warner Bros are in a highly heated race to get a new remake of The Jungle Book to are screens. The latter found a great choice of director in Ron Howard (Rush, Apollo 13) before his replacement set up Andy Serkis (Lord of the Rings/King Kong star and The Hobbit’s second unit director) for the job. Meanwhile Disney is far ahead; Elf and Iron Man’s Jon Favreau is nailed in to direct and we know that Idris Elba (Pacific Rim, The Wire, Luther, Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom) will voice Shere-Kahn but another two stars are part of a new rumour. 12 Years a Slave’s Oscar winning supporting star Lupita Nyong’o is up for the role of Rackcha, Mowgli’s adoptive wolf-mother, while Scarlett Johansson (four time Golden Globe nominee of The Avengers and Lost in Translation fame) could be putting an interesting spin on Kaa, the hypnotising and villainous snake whose charms put the heroes in peril. The Jungle Book – October 9th 2015

Celebrating their 300th issue and their 25th anniversary, Empire Magazine are giving some incredible coverage of upcoming films including Marvel’s sci-fi sequel The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Joss Whedon, writer of The Avengers, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, Serenity and Toy Story, had this to say about the various villains in the film. “I fiercely dislike the idea of just throwing in more people for the sake of doing that. But last time I had all of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes versus one British character actor, and I needed more conflict.”

The chief villain is obviously the robotic Ultron and he may be Whedon’s highlight “I’m having a blast with Ultron,” Whedon said. “He’s not a creature of logic – he’s a robot who’s genuinely disturbed. We’re finding out what makes him menacing and at the same time endearing and funny and strange and unexpected, and everything a robot never is.” Star Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man) recently shared the very first on-set pic from the film (above) that also stars Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Samuel L Jackson, Cobie Smulders, James Spader, Thomas Kretschmann, Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Jeremy Renner, Hayley Atwell, Don Cheadle and Paul Bettany. The Avengers: Age of Ultron – May 1st 2015

Taking off from indie sci-fi hit Safety Not Guaranteed, writer/director Colin Trevorrow, who’s hinted at further instalments, takes on a huge role with the lead gig on dinosaur action reboot Jurassic World which has finally revealed some pics from their island photography. These sneak peeks offer a more futuristic style than we’d initially expected. The Jurassic Park sequel stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Chris Pratt, Nick Robinson, Omar Sy, Katie McGrath, BD Wong Ty Simpkins, Jake Johnson, Judy Greer and Vincent D’Onofrio. Jurassic World – June 12th 2015.

Sadly, Star Trek and Fringe writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci are going their seperate ways in order to focus on the bigger directing projects that have attracted them both. Kurtzman is the current candidate to direct Spider-Man spin-off Venom but Orci has expressed his desire to become the director of Star Trek 3.

Several directors, including Rupert Wyatt and Joe Cornish, had previously been rumoured after JJ Abrams opted out in favour of Star Wars. Should he get the job, it’d be the Mexican’s directorial debut while Kurtzman does have a shot-calling credit on indie drama People Like Us. Star Trek 3 – 2016

The Bourne Identity’s Doug Liman is the man behind the new Tom Cruise (Mission Impossible, Minority Report, Top Gun) sci-fi action Edge of Tomorrow. It sees a soldier forced to constantly relive a battle again and again until its success and unveiled a new poster today. With the impressive supporting cast of Emily Blunt (The Adjustment Bureau, Looper), Bill Paxton (Aliens, Agents of SHIELD) and Lara Pulver (Da Vinci’s Demons, Sherlock), it could surprise us but it’s set to be another throwaway Cruise flick that treads too closely to other films (in Oblivion’s case Moon and in this case Source Code). Edge of Tomorrow – May 30th.

There have already been some intriguing castings for Joe Wright’s (Hanna, Atonement, Pride and Prejudice) reboot of Disney animation Peter Pan. Unknown star Levi Miller will play a younger version of the titular role while Garrett Hedlund (Tron: Legacy, Inside Llewyn Davis, Death Sentence) plays Pan’s adversary Hook, who currently serves under the flag of Blackbeard (Hugh Jackman – X-Men, Les Miserables, The Prestige). Rooney Mara (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo, The Social Network, Side Effects) will play American-Indian chief’s daughter Tiger Lily. Now an additional Amanda Seyfried (Mamma Mia, Les Miserables), Kathy Burke (Nil By Mouth, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) and Nonso Anozie (Ender’s Game, The Grey) have officially joined the ensemble. Pan – July 17th 2015.

We were as thrilled as any when it was revealed that the five remaining members of Monty Python, the legendary British comedy sextet behind Life of Brian, The Flying Circus, The Meaning of Life and The Holy Grail, would be bravely running away onto the O2 stage for their final reunion but were as equally disappointed when the tickets sold out in an incredible 43 seconds. However, there may be a new way for the millions of fans missing out to enjoy the return of Mesrs Cleese, Jones, Gilliam, Idle and Palin. It’s been announced that 1500 screens (including 450 in the UK) across the globe will be presenting the show’s closing night as part of a worldwide live cinema event. Monty Python Live – June 20th.

One of the Spider-Man franchises biggest icons is one who is neither a superhero nor supervillain but Peter Parker’s chain-smoking, media-dictating Daily Bugle boss John Jonah Jameson Junior, portrayed excellently by JK Simmons in Sam Raimi’s original trilogy. However, he’s yet to appear in Marc Webb’s recent reiteration The Amazing Spider-Man. Webb, flanked by Amazing Spider-Man 2’s stars Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx and Dane DeHaan, spoke out about the possibility of JJJ’s return for future films at a Google+ fan Q&A.

“I like the idea very much of him coming up in the next film. It was more easy to accept a new Spider-Man than someone who could outdo J.K. Simmons in that role. He is so iconic. That’s something we’ve really talked about. Obviously I love that character because he poses such an interesting dilemma for Spider-Man. The answer is I don’t know, but I think you can expect to see him in the future.” The Amazing Spider-Man 3 – June 10th 2016. The Amazing Spider-Man 4 – 2018.

The final part of Peter Jackson’s epic fantasy trilogy, and Lord of the Rings prequel, The Hobbit is approaching fast but a report from TheOneRing hinted at a potential title change from There and Back Again to Into the Fire. Neither sounded quite as previous subtitles such as An Unexpected Journey or The Desolation of Smaug. It then took us by surprise to hear that the title as officially change to The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. The Oscar winning writer/director Jackson himself stepped out to say this.

“Our journey to make The Hobbit Trilogy has been in some ways like Bilbo’s own, with hidden paths revealing their secrets to us as we’ve gone along. “There and Back Again” felt like the right name for the second of a two film telling of the quest to reclaim Erebor, when Bilbo’s arrival there, and departure, were both contained within the second film. But with three movies, it suddenly felt misplaced—after all, Bilbo has already arrived “there” in the “Desolation of Smaug”.

“When we did the premiere trip late last year, I had a quiet conversation with the studio about the idea of revisiting the title. We decided to keep an open mind until a cut of the film was ready to look at. We reached that point last week, and after viewing the movie, we all agreed there is now one title that feels completely appropriate.”

Without trying to give too much away for the Tolkien-illiterate, The Battle of the Five Armies is a defining moment in Middle-Earth history and so I think it get’s a well deserved place on the titles. It’s been hinted that There and Back Again hasn’t been completely ditched and will appear on the various boxsets for the films so The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug and The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies will be the three films that make up our The Hobbit: There and Back Again trilogy.

Battle of the Five Armies will star Martin Freeman, Richard Armitage, Luke Evans, Evangeline Lilly, Ian McKellen, Benedict Cumberbatch, Orlando Bloom, Cate Blanchett, Lee Pace, Manu Bennett, Ian Holm, Sylvester McCoy, Aidan Turner, Ken Stott, James Nesbitt, Dean O’Gorman, Mikael Persbrandt, Billy Connolly, Graham McTavish, Hugo Weaving and Christopher Lee. The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies – December 12th

Sinister Six appoints Drew Goddard, Wreck-It Ralph 2 levels up plus new TMNT posters

Wreck-It Ralph was easily Dinsey’s most charming (non-musical and non-Pixar) animated film in years, and defeated the likes of Monsters University and Despicable Me 2 to win the Tuorhoth Award for Best Animated Film as well as gaining nominations for Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Comedy. On top of that, the film, which tells the story of an arcade villain determined to make something better of himself in the gaming world, got an Academy Award nomination, which is lost to Brave, and took nearly $500 million worldwide. You won’t be surprised to hear that we’re immensely excited about today’s news. X-Men: First Class and Captain Phillips composer Henry Jackman let slip that he’d been approached for a sequel.

“I can’t tell you more, not because I’m being coy, but I believe that it is officially on the cards,” he told collider, “I don’t know any more other than a story is indeed being written. I’d be very surprised not to. I’m not blowing my own trumpet. Forget about the music. Just the movie itself I thought was a fantastically imaginative and creative piece of work.” We hope that the follow up will be directed by Rich Moore and will star John C Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Alan Tudyk, Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynch and Joe Lo Trugilo.

With The Amazing Spider-Man 2 coming very soon, Sony are advancing the continuation of their slice of the Marvel universe. As well as another two Spider-Man sequels, there’ll be a pair of spin offs. Venom will be brought to us by People Like Us director and Star Trek and Fringe writer Alex Kurtzman as well as Roberto Orci and Ed Solomon and that’s followed by The Sinister Six, which we knew was going to be written by Cloverfield, World War Z and The Cabin in the Woods’ (below) Drew Goddard. However, Goddard is now talking with Sony about directing the film.

We’re still not quite sure which iteration of The Sinister Six will be depicted as there have been numerous incarnations and members. There’s a possibility that established Spidey evil-doers such as Lizard (Rhys Ifans), Rhino (Paul Giamatti) and Green Goblin (Dane DeHaan) will be included but we’d put our money on the classic line up of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Kraven the Hunter, Mysterio, Sandman, Doctor Octopus and Vulture. Electro has already found a solid casting and Doc Oc and Vulture have been teased in various trailers but Goddard will have a serious task trying to cast five new villains.

There’s little else to report today besides the revealing of four neat Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles teaser posters. The reboot is brought to us by South African director Jonathan Liebesman (Wrath of the Titans, Battle Los Angeles) and producer Michael Bay (Transformers, Pain and Gain) and stars Megan Fox, William Fichtner, Johnny Knoxville, Tony Shalhoub, Will Arnett, Alan Ritchson, Jeremy Howard, Pete Ploszek, Danny Woodburn and Whoopi Goldberg.

Marc Webb will direct Amazing Spider-Man 3 and Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga confirm Conjuring 2

The sequel to the blockbuster reboot The Amazing Spider-Man arrives in about two months time and it’ll further set up Sony’s ongoing superhero universe with Venom, The Sinister Six and The Amazing Spider-Man 3 and 4. The latter two projects seem to be making less progress than the others but today the first two film’s director Marc Webb was confirmed for the third. This instalment will probably star Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Martin Sheen, Shailene Woodley and Sally Field while the villainous tales of Venom and The Sinister Six will be brought to us with a writing/directing amalgamation of Drew Goddard, Alex Kurtzman, Ed Solomon and Roberto Orci. We’ve also been informed that Sony’s attempts to build an Avengers like universe will bring us one Spider-Man film every year so there’s plenty of webswinging action to come.

James Wan’s The Conjuring was the horror smash hit of 2013 taking $318 million from a remarkably small budget while winning the hearts. Its stars, Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson, have been added to the sequel’s cast confirming the follow ups production. So far, plot details are pretty much non-exitstent but we know that their characters, Lorraine and Ed Warren, will be caught up in a new terrifying poltergeist case. As well as this, there’s a planned spin-off/prequel titled The Annabelle Story which sees the titular creepy doll causing terror of a trio of flatmates. The Conjuring’s cinematographer John R Leonetti will direct that one but I doubt James Wan will return in any way for either of these projects as he’s busy on Fast and Furious 7 (arriving April 10th 2015).

Don Cheadle joins Avengers 2 and Sony confirms Spider-Man spin offs

In the last two Iron Man films, Jim Rhodes/War Machine and, later on, Iron Patriot has impressed us as Iron Man’s sidekick but his second portrayer (Don Cheadle) wasn’t considered into the plot by director and writer Joss Whedon. Whedon returns for the biggest sequel of 2015, The Avengers: Age of Ultron, and we thought he’d completed his main cast with Robert Downey Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Cobie Smulders, Samuel L Jackson, Mark Ruffallo, Jeremy Renner, Elizabeth Olsen, Aaron Taylor Johnson, James Spader and Anthony Mackie but Don Cheadle has been added to the cast so we might expect other character traditionally starring in the Iron Man films such as J.A.R.V.I.S., (Paul Bettany), Happy Hogun (Jon Favreau) and Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), none of whom have been confirmed yet.

The next  Marvel news comes from Sony’s expanding The Amazing Spider-Man universe. We reported about a month ago that Sony were to develop a new Spider-Man spin off, possibly more centred around the villains. Later, we told you that The Amazing Spider-Man producer Avi Arad and comic-book legend Stan Lee were working together on a new project, which we presumed to be Venom.

We can now announce that Avi Arad and another team of writers and producers are developing both Venom and The Sinister Six. They’ve got three of JJ Abrams’ team, namely Star Trek’s Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci plus Alias’ Jeff Pinker, on to make Venom with Kurtzman directing as well as writing. Meanwhile, The Sinister Six will be written by The Cabin in the Woods director and World War Z scribe Drew Goddard and Now You See Me’s Ed Solomon but we wouldn’t be surprised if the five were to crossover and work with eachother on both projects. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach will produce with Stan Lee being an integral part of the production.

In terms of casting, Vemon appeared once before in 2007’s Spider-Man 3 where he was played by Topher Grace but that was part of Sam Raimi’s trilogy which was updated by last year’s Amazing Spider-Man. The Sinister Six are likely to be made up of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Green Goblin (Dane DeHaan or Chris Cooper), Rhino (Paul Giamatti), Doctor Octopus (played by Alfred Molina in 2004’s Spiderman 2, we know Doc Oc will be rebooted with a new star thanks to The Amazing Spider-Man 2’s trailer), Vulture (hasn’t been seen on screen yet but we know he’s going to arrive thanks to the new trailer again) and then either Mysterio or Sandman (previously played  by Thomas Haden Church).

The next Spidey related adventure is The Amazing Spider-Man 2, directed by Marc Webb and starring Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Jamie Foxx, Dane DeHaan, Paul Giamatti, Sally Field, Martin Sheen, Chris Cooper and Felicity Jones.

X-Men’s The Bent Bullet plus Stan Lee talks new movie project and Crossbones’ future in Marvel

You could easily criticize me for an overload of Marvel news but they just have so much going on at the moment, namely the confirmed Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, Ant-Man, Doctor Strange, The Avengers: Age of Ultron, The Fantastic Four, X-Men: Days of Future Past, X-Force The Amazing Spider-Man 2, The Amazing Spider-Man 3, The Amazing Spider-Man 4 and Big Hero 6, TV’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, Daredevil, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Jessica Jones and the in production Captain America 3, Thor 3, Deadpool, Wolverine 3, Black Panther, The Inhumans and The Avengers 3.

The first bit of news comes from a second viral site for 2014’s most anticipated superhero project, X-Men: Days of Future Past. Before there was Trask Industries but now Fox have launched a conspiracy site called The Bent Bullet. Cast your mind to well over a year ago, Days of Future Past wasn’t yet the title of this film. First Class’ director Matthew Vaughn was set to call the shots and stated that he was considering “The Magic Bullet” idea that in November 1963, fifty years ago just now, when Lee Harvey Oswald shot President John Kennedy in Dallas the bullet hit but didn’t kill JFK and the young metal controlling mutant Magneto/Erik Lehnsherr (to be played by Michael Fassbender) manipulated the bullet to come back a second time to finish the president off.

As soon as Bryan Singer and Days of Future Past was announced in August 2012, we thought that idea was gone with the new story clearly about time travel. The Bent Bullet has proved us wrong as it’s filled the whole of Lensherr’s story in ’63. We can now presume that he goes on a wild rampage after crippling his closest friend, Charles Xavier (James McAvoy), or, as he said, is framed, most likely by the mutant hating industrialist Bolivar Trask, who designed his cell because he wants him locked up for good after in disaster at Cuba in 1962, see 2011’s X-Men: First Class.

Ten years later in the film’s primary setting, 1970s Magneto (still Fassbender) escapes from his cell with the assistance of 1970s Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence). However, Magneto isn’t best pleased that it’s took this long. Upon Magneto’s escape, Beast (Nicholas Hoult) confronts and attacks the master of magnetism. This is our own speculation but it’s likely that that’s what’s going to happen. Hugh Jackman, Anna Paquin, Halle Berry, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Shawn Ashmore, Daniel Cudmore, Lucas Till and Ellen Page reprise their roles from previous X-Men films while Peter Dinklage, Evan Peters, Booboo Stewart, Omar Sy, Josh Helman, Adan Canto and Fan Bingbing take on new roles such as Quicksilver, Blink and Bishop.

Stan Lee truly is the grandfather of Marvel Comics, TV and film. With regular producing and writing credits, plus his priceless cameos, on the new pictures, he’s still a part of Disney, Sony and Fox’s continuation of his epic franchises from the 1950s and 60s. He’s teaming up with The Amazing Spider-Man, Iron Man and X-Men producer Avi Arad for a new top secret project that’s being kept within the closed borders of Sony so it could be a Spider-Man tie in, such as Venom, that we mentioned last week.

Arad, Sony’s Israeli secret hero, told the Hollywood Reporter that Stan Lee: “At the ripe old age of 90, can still put together magic. He’s as sharp as a Japanese cooking knife. His mind is as young as it used to be.” That hints at a brand new, original idea that Lee’s brought together in his imaginative cooking pot but, for now, I’m sticking with Venom. Arad added that the next step would be to find a writer.

Meanwhile, The Grey and Warrior star Frank Grillo is counting down the days until Marvel sequel Captain America: The Winter Soldier, where his performance as Brock Rumlow/Crossbones should make him go stellar. He describes to Crave Online “It’s an origin film. You meet people who are going to be around for a while, so they introduce the characters. It’s almost like it’s a series. It’s fun. I can’t say very much about it because Marvel’s very strict about what you’re allowed to say. The movie, we’ve seen bits of it, and it is spectacular.” We think he could be referring to his future with new characters like Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Alexander Pierce (Robert Redford) or Agent 13 (Emily Van Camp). Cap 2 also stars Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Cobie Smulders, Samuel L Jackson and Sebastian Stan and is directed by Joe and Anthony Russo.

Tolkien biopic and Spider-Man spin-offs planned and Hammer revives The Abominable Snowman

Toady, we’ve got a trio of potentially excellent new pictures but some will likely be more mainstream than others.

The brilliant Peter Cushing starred in the classic 1957 horror adventure The Abominable Snowman. It could be up for a reboot which Empire describes:

“The new film will find a scientific expedition going off the beaten track and illegally making an ascent up one of the world’s most dangerous mountains. They soon discover why the area is off limits when they reawaken an ancient creature that promises to terrorise them all.” Matthew Read and Jon Croker will be writing the screenplay.

The next is a biopic of the legendary fantasy novelist JRR (John Ronald Reuel Tolkien). He was already an astonishing success but Peter Jackson’s film adaptations of The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit turned Tolkien into a cult phenomenon. The author was Oxford raised and was a member of a writer’s club with CS Lewis. The Hobbit was a huge hit and the studios’ demand for a sequel led Tolkien into a huge period of unrest and indecision. The book took twelve years to complete and the latter third was mostly inspired by the author’s experience in the Second World War.

Fox Searchlight will be producing this one. This story is of huge importance so I hope they get every detail, especially casting, bang on. Peter Jackson’s involvement would be both amazing and unlikely.

The most mainstream of these is the talk of a spin off to The Amazing Spiderman. “We do very much have the ambition about creating a bigger universe around Spider-Man,” said Son’y Michael Lynton a statement published by Deadline. “There are a number of scripts in the works.” Besides the incredible potential of The Aunt May Adventures, a villain story seems to be the go to Spidey spin-off. In many ways, Spidey is the Batman of the Marvel Universe: he has a much richer and varying source of enemies with Green Goblin, Sandman, Venom, Vulture, Dr Octopus, Electro, Rhino and many others among his list of antagonists.

We still don’t know if The Amazing Spiderman’s director, Marc Webb, and star, Andrew Garfield, are related to the production. I would think that 2017 is likely the earliest would could see this as Sony wouldn’t want any spin-offs challenging the many releases of 2015 or crossing paths with the main action of The Amazing Spiderman 3 in 2016. The next we can catch Spidey himself of the big screen is in 2014.
